Featured Brewery: Cody Brewing Company

Cody Brewing Company has been around for just over five years and it’s been quite a ride; moving to Amesbury and pretty much changing our entire business model has kept things very interesting. However, it’s the last few months that have been really exciting.

For starters, we gave ourselves a facelift. Loving our new logo, we decided to add new label designs and tap handles for our year-round offerings: Wheelers Brown Ale, No Name IPA, Original Amber Ale and SOS. Not only do they look great, but it’s a lot easier than handwriting labels for 80 cases. And to go along with our new look, we brought on Ben Laurenzano as our Brewery Ambassador to help spread the word.

Plus, we’ve expanded out of the North Shore. With the help of the guys over at Craft Brewers Guild, we have been able to place our beer into some great establishments throughout the Commonwealth. The same goes for the guys up at Mariner Beverages in Portland, who are helping Cody Beer reach Southern Maine.

Our growth is really exciting, but what we’re really happy about is the great line up of new beers we have coming out. The first is Honey Ginger Pale Ale, an easy-drinking Pale Ale brewed with lots of ginger and a touch of honey. You can find it on tap locally or in growler at the brewery. In March we will be bringing back last year’s favorite brew, yes I’m talking about Carrot Cake Porter. This chocolaty Porter brewed with epic quantities carrots and spices gained quite a following last spring and will be out on the shelves in bottles by late March, just in time for Easter. Then this summer we will be debuting our Farm House line; for every season we plan to release a different Farm House-style ale brewed with local ingredients. We are really excited about these beers as well as the small one-runs we are creating that you can only get at the brewery.

So, if you are in Amesbury, please swing by, say hi and try some awesome beer. However, if you can’t make it to town then you can find us in 22oz bottles and drafts all over Massachusetts.

Cheers

- Sean Cody
