Mass Beer Week Officially Recognized as Statewide Week in Massachusetts
March 7–14, 2026 Designated to Celebrate Independent Craft Breweries Across the Commonwealth
Boston, MA — The Massachusetts Brewers Guild (MBG) is proud to announce that March 7–14, 2026 has been officially proclaimed as Mass Beer Week in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The proclamation formally recognizes the vital role that local breweries play in the state’s economy, culture, tourism, and communities.
Mass Beer Week is a statewide celebration of Massachusetts-made beer, highlighting the more than 200 independent craft breweries that operate across the Commonwealth. From small rural taprooms to urban production facilities, these businesses create jobs, drive tourism, support local agriculture, and contribute to vibrant downtowns and neighborhoods.
"From Boston to the Berkshires, our craft breweries are anchors in their communities and significant contributors to our regional economies. This week we celebrate the over 200 small, independent craft breweries that serve as gathering spaces for their communities, create jobs, and drive growth for their cities and towns," said Governor Maura Healey. "I'm proud to proclaim Mass Beer Week and encourage everyone to go celebrate at their local brewery safely and responsibly!"
Throughout the week, participating breweries will host special releases, collaborative brews, tasting events, educational programming, and community fundraisers. Beer lovers are encouraged to visit local taprooms, try Massachusetts-made beer, and share their experiences using #MassBeerWeek.
The Massachusetts craft brewing industry represents a dynamic and growing segment of the state’s small business economy. Brewers partner with local farms, suppliers, and hospitality businesses, creating a ripple effect that strengthens regional economies statewide.
“Having Mass Beer Week officially recognized by the Commonwealth is an incredible honor for our brewing community,” said Katie Stinchon, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Brewers Guild. “Massachusetts breweries are small manufacturers, employers, and community gathering spaces. This proclamation underscores the importance of supporting local businesses and the people behind them.”
Mass Beer Week culminates in continued celebrations of local brewing excellence and serves as a reminder to “Drink Mass Made Beer” year-round.
