A New Spring Tradition Arrives in Boston: Massachusetts Craft Brewers Frühlingsfest
Celebrate Beer, Community, and Seasonal Renewal
Boston, MA — Spring is coming—and with it, a brand-new celebration from the Massachusetts Brewers Guild. Inspired by Germany’s beloved Frühlingsfest—Oktoberfest’s lively, easygoing “little sister”— Massachusetts Craft Brewers Frühlingsfest will bring the spirit of Munich and Stuttgart to the heart of Boston for a one-day festival filled with energy, flavor, and community.
Taking place under the iconic dome skylight of the BCA Cyclorama, the festival invites guests to step into a vibrant spring atmosphere featuring fresh, seasonal craft beer, German-inspired offerings, live music from TubaFrau Hofbräu Band, and the joyful, relaxed spirit that defines Frühlingsfest abroad.
This long-standing spring tradition in Germany celebrates renewal, local pride, and connection—values that resonate deeply with Massachusetts’ independent brewing community. Massachusetts Craft Brewers Frühlingsfest channels that same spirit, creating a welcoming space where creativity, craftsmanship, and community come together.
Forty Massachusetts craft breweries will participate, offering samples of their finest beers alongside a limited selection of kombucha, seltzers, and ciders.
Beyond the celebration, the event highlights the importance of craft brewing to the state’s economy. Massachusetts breweries are small, independent businesses that drive local manufacturing, tourism, and job creation across the Commonwealth. Events like Frühlingsfest provide a vital platform to showcase their work and connect directly with consumers.
“Frühlingsfest is about more than great beer—it’s about supporting the people and businesses that make Massachusetts’ craft brewing scene so dynamic,” said Katie Stinchon, executive director of the Mass Brewers Guild. “This is a chance to celebrate spring while also uplifting an industry that plays a meaningful role in our local economy and communities.”
The festival will take place in two sessions:
Session 1: 1:00 – 4:00 P.M.
Session 2: 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Tickets:
General Admission: $55 (includes unlimited beer samples)
Designated Drivers / Non-Drinkers: $10
Proceeds benefit the Mass Brewers Guild, the nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the state’s craft brewing industry.
The Massachusetts Craft Brewers Frühlingsfest is made possible with the support of presenting sponsor Allen Craft Beverage Insurance, along with Evently. Additional support is provided by BMI, Brewing Massachusetts, Neighbors for Net Zero, Renewal by Andersen, Tuck Life, and Walden Mutual Bank.
Frühlingsfest isn’t just a festival—it’s a celebration of independence, artistry, and the vibrant brewing culture that continues to thrive across Massachusetts.
